Why we built this

Every year, dozens of Australian brands quietly give away a free coffee, a burger, a movie ticket or a beauty gift to people celebrating a birthday. The trouble is the offers are scattered, the terms change, and half the lists online are out of date or missing the conditions that actually matter.

We built Birthday Deals Australia to fix that: one place that tells you exactly what you can claim, how to claim it, and when — and proves it is current.

How we stay independent

Brands can’t pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to have a weak offer dressed up as a good one — what we list and what we say about each offer is entirely our call. Nothing on this site implies a brand endorses or is affiliated with us.

That independence is the whole point. It means we can tell you when an offer is mediocre, when it has lead-time traps, or when it has quietly disappeared.

How we check every deal

Each offer carries the date we last checked it and where the detail came from. “Brand-verified” means we confirmed it against the brand’s own published loyalty terms. “Community-checked” means a reader reported it and we corroborated it — useful, but treat it as a tip rather than a guarantee.

We re-sweep the catalogue regularly, and every offer page has a way to flag something out of date. Corrections from readers are a big part of how the directory stays trustworthy.

Privacy by design

There are no accounts and no logins. Your shortlist of saved offers lives only in your own browser — we never see it, and we don’t build a profile of you. Account-free is a deliberate constraint, not a missing feature.

The site is free because Mediavine shows ads on it, and Mediavine’s ad technology does use cookies to do that. That processing is Mediavine’s and its advertising partners’, not ours — our privacy policy sets out exactly what it involves and how to opt out of personalised ads.
